Fourth of July reflections

God bless America (n Ice)!!! Another fourth of July in the books, and for me and mines, it was a good one. Shout out to everyone who came to the house and feasted on some chicken and ribs with me and the fam. As usual, the food was phenomenal. But, my family cookout made me realize what the fourth of July is all about. Its not only about celebrating the anniversary of America, but its about see just how drunk and crazy your friends and family can get.

Think about it, you spend all year getting boozed up with your bros and your friends; but you forget, your parents and their friends been throwing down before you were even a twinkle in your father's eyes. The 4th of July allows older folks the opportunity to forget about their job, their nagging wife, and their ugly ass kids and just focus on whats important in life: booze, food, and shacking opportunities.

Take my cookout for instance, once the rain began to fall, all the 'adults' came inside and reverted back to their college days. I came downstairs after about an hour being upstairs with my friends and I notice my bottle of Hennessy was finish, along with most of our grey goose, rum and other fine liquors. I knew it was serious when my mother barged in my room to pleed with me to go to store for more Bombay... even though she knew I was drunk. When else will your parents ask you to drive drunk for them???

So if you didn't take the opportunity to get wasted with your family this fourth of July, fear not... Veterans Day is right around the corner.
